Measuring at home

  • Use a validated upper-arm monitor with the correct cuff size.
  • Sit quietly for five minutes with feet flat and your arm supported.
  • Avoid caffeine, smoking and exercise for 30 minutes beforehand.
  • Record readings and bring them to your appointment.
