Email is for limited administrative communication

The existing clinic site encourages email only for non-confidential, non-urgent matters such as appointment requests or cancellations and requests for reception to return a call. The clinic must confirm whether these uses remain approved.

Do not use email for medical care

  • Do not send symptoms, medical questions, diagnoses, test results, prescriptions, photographs, or health-card details.
  • Do not use email to establish a physician-patient relationship.
  • Do not use email for urgent care, emergencies, or any matter requiring an immediate response.
  • Do not assume a message has been read or acted on until the clinic confirms.

Security and response

Ordinary email can be intercepted, misdirected, delayed, or accessed by others. The inbox is not continuously monitored. Messages outside approved uses may be redirected to telephone contact or may not receive a response.
