Measuring at home
- Use a validated upper-arm monitor with the correct cuff size.
- Sit quietly for five minutes with feet flat and your arm supported.
- Avoid caffeine, smoking and exercise for 30 minutes beforehand.
- Record readings and bring them to your appointment.
